This on-line training is designed to provide background information needed by health care professionals to help them care for adult patients with thrombosis or thrombophilia. The course consists of lessons on the basics of clotting, thrombophilia, anticoagulant medications, post- thrombotic syndrome, pulmonary hypertension, and prevention of clot recurrence.
The overall purpose of this training is to improve health outcomes for patients diagnosed with thrombosis and/or thrombophilia and to prevent secondary complications of blood clots by improving the knowledge and skill of providers who care for these patients.
